The rainy weather of the recent days caused a slight delay in the beginning of the harvest, but the winter wheat harvest may begin at the end of the week in Békés County.

Because of the rainy weather of last week, the farmers could not harvest winter barley, canola and peas, so about 5 and 20 percent were harvested of these crops – Kozsuch Kornél, the general vice president of the Békés County Board of Directors of the National Agricultural Chamber told MTI. (MTI)
