The canning industry is endangered by the war
The demolition of the steel plant in Mariupol, Ukraine, is endangering the supply of packaging to domestic canning companies, as the company was a supplier to European companies producing rolled steel sheets and products, which also serve as raw materials for cans, agrarszektor.hu wrote.
Canning companies are afraid of further canning costs due to the loss of production at the Ukrainian steel plant, as well as temporary packaging procurement problems in the new fruit and vegetable processing season starting in the summer. (agrarszektor.hu)
