The GVH closed 106 proceedings last year
In a statement issued by the Competition Authority, a record 8.4 billion HUF fine was imposed on competition authorities in 2020.
The GVH has taken strong action against unfair commercial practices, in particular to protect the interests of vulnerable consumer groups (the elderly, the sick, children).
The highest competition fines affected technology giants, they noted. (MTI)
