130 scientific academies are seeking solutions for global food problems
The InterAcademy Partnership (IAP), an organization representing the world’s scientific academies, is seeking to put agriculture on new foundations, reduce food waste, treat obesity, malnutrition and starvation and introduce climate protection measures – the MTA informed MTI.
The IAP report, drawn up with the participation of the scientific academies of 130 countries states that global agriculture and food industry is less and less fulfilling the needs of humankind and accelerating climate change. The part of the InterAcademy Partnership report for Europe was made in the care of the Scientific Advisory Board of the European Academies (EASAC). (MTI)
