The GKI lowered this year's growth forecast to 2 percent
The GKI Zrt. expects a 2 percent economic growth this year after the previously projected 2.3 percent.
Vértes András president of the GKI told at a press conference on Tuesday in Budapest that the Brexit further increased the downside risks. Economic growth may slow down 1.7-1.8 percent because the British withdrawal is an “economic disaster for Great Britain and a political disaster for the European Union”. In response to questions, he said the capital had always been anti-Brexit, therefore, the expert does not expect similar incidence as during the 2008 crisis. (MTI)
