Garnier granted Leaping Bunny cruelty-free certification by Cruelty Free International
Cruelty Free International – the leading organisation working to end animal testing – has granted cosmetic giant Garnier the Leaping Bunny certification.
This means that Garnier is now finally a completely cruelty-free brand!
Garnier has confirmed with Cruelty Free International that it no longer sells in China, and has no plans to in the future as long as animal testing is a concern.
The brand is ranked as one of the world’s ten most valuable cosmetic brands, worth over $4.6 million, which makes this cruelty-free certification a significant milestone in the battle for a cruelty-free future.
Garnier is a household name available in supermarkets, drug stores and other retailers across 65 countries, and it could be the only brand that animal-conscious shoppers have access to. Therefore, this certification is truly groundbreaking and will help consumers choose more ethical products.
While the entire range is now cruelty-free, not all Garnier products are suitable for vegans due to animal-derived ingredients. You can find the full list of vegan products here, but our favourites include the 3-in-1 Watermelon Hair Mask, the Micellar Cleansing Water with Vitamin C, and the Smoothing Treat Avocado Conditioner.
