Customers opt for traditional meat products
Despite climate-friendly aspects, after years of giving cause for confidence, it seems that consumers have finally decided to stick with the cheaper and tastier traditional meats.
The huge invested capital and the initially sharply rising demand have now turned around: more and more signs indicate that consumers did not like vegan meat, i.e. the product range made from plant materials and resembling traditional meat – reports napi.hu.
Interest in artificial meat, which is considered an innovation in the food industry, turned in 2022. According to American market researchers, the decline in demand has sealed the future of products made from plant proteins, and the aspiration that these meat substitutes dominate 10 percent of the entire meat market within a few years has become impossible.
