The CEO of Dreher made a commitment to further strengthen the inclusive culture
International research* proves that companies where employees receive equal treatment regardless of their demographic and cultural background have a significantly higher amount of innovation and a greater resilience to crises. The 170-year history of Dreher Breweries also proves this observation. Therefore, it is extremely important that diversity and tolerance become an even more integrated part of our corporate culture and strategy with the help of specific programs along the lines of measurable and accountable commitments.
In March 2021, we officially joined the initiative “The LEAD Network Pledge 2020”, in which we made a commitment to create gender balance and support diversity in the workplace. In the last 3 years, we have taken many steps in achieving these sustainability goals. On October 2, Mike James, CEO of Dreher Breweries, and Paolo Lanzarotti, CEO of Asahi Europe and International, confirmed this commitment with their joint signature.
“I am convinced that in the life of Dreher Breweries, diversity, cooperation and building a constructive corporate culture represent both our tradition and our future. In the course of history, we have seen countless times that regardless of age, gender and cultural background, our community, forged together on the basis of knowledge and commitment, is able to cope with even the biggest challenges. Since signing in 2021, we have proven that we will do everything we can to fulfill our commitment. We created our own DE&I Committee, started new training courses for all employees and introduced new rules in several places. These are important steps that will be followed by more.”
Mike James, CEO of Dreher Breweries, said about the signing.
