Chocolate rabbits and chocolate eggs are the most popular products of the Easter season
The chocolate rabbit and chocolate egg are always the hit products of the Easter sweets market, and the manufacturers also prepare many innovative products for the holiday season. According to the joint market overview of the National Chamber of Agriculture and the Association of Hungarian Confectionery Manufacturers, the price-value ratio will be emphasized even more than before during customer decisions, but the turnover is expected to be at the level of previous years this year as well.
Easter is approaching, and the shelves of shops have been lined up with various chocolate figures and sweets for weeks. As in previous years, customers looking for Easter sweets can choose from an extremely wide selection this year. In the previous few years – with the exception of the beginning of the 2020 covid epidemic – the turnover of holiday sweets was stable, so according to the National Chamber of Agricultural Economics and the Association of Hungarian Confectionery Manufacturers, domestic manufacturers can count on a favorable season again this year. Although it has been observed since the beginning of the inflation period that Hungarian people generally buy less sweets due to rising prices, it is hoped that this trend will not affect Easter purchases, so the usual turnover of previous years can be expected.
According to manufacturers’ expectations, the price-value ratio will influence demand more than ever this year, and customers will think twice about the product they choose for their money. Hopefully, as in previous years, customers will continue to vote for quality, so most people will choose real chocolate instead of various products made from cocoa mass with a lower enjoyment value.
