Today, Coca-Cola HBC Hungary became the exclusive distributor in Hungary of certain premium alcohol brands of Bacardi-Martini, the world’s largest privately owned alcoholic beverage producer.
Thus, starting in September, the company’s offer will be expanded with around 60 products from nine new premium and super premium alcohol brands. Coca-Cola HBC Hungary continues to develop its 24/7 portfolio and takes another step towards becoming a leading distributor on the domestic premium alcohol market.
From the first of September, the premium alcohol portfolio of Coca-Cola HBC Hungary will be expanded with several well-known, market-leading brands in Hungary. Pursuant to the exclusive distributor agreement with Bacardi-Martini, the company will carry out the sales and logistics activities of Bacardi-Martini products, while the marketing support of premium and super-premium brands is also part of the agreement between the parties.
The premium spirits market has shown dynamic growth in Hungary in recent years, the segment’s value share increased by 22 percent between 2019 and 2021. In 2021, the size of the market reached 650 million dollars (263.8 billion forints), and a total of 26.1 million liters of alcohol were sold this year. With the help of Bacardi-Martini’s strong brands, Coca-Cola HBC Hungary intends to become a leading player in the domestic premium imported spirits market in the coming years. The Bacardi brand is currently the market leader in the rum category, and Martini in the vermouth and imported premium champagne categories.
