10 million Fa helps responsible domestic companies in giving gifts
This year, the national community of 10 Million Trees is once again calling the attention of companies that think responsibly about the environment and the green future to give the gift of tree planting for Christmas. The foundation is starting to plant a grove of 8,800 trees (and shrubs) in Monorierdő, and is waiting for those companies that would like to plant a sapling on a good team building site. Or even an entire patch of forest, which the team then names. The goal of the community is that, according to the principle of 1 person – 1 tree, over time every Hungarian in our country will receive a planted tree.
Tree planting as a Christmas present? During this period, producers flood the streets with freshly cut trees, and we flood our homes. Who would think of the reverse of this? And yet the 10 million Fa Foundation encourages exactly this, the enrichment of the living environment, this time in Monorierdő.
In order to restore the forest-steppe vegetation originally characteristic of the landscape, the 10 million Fa – Monorierdő community is planning to reforest a 3-hectare area owned by the local government at the border of a nature conservation area. Twenty-two patches of forest will be cleared, each with the planting of 400 trees, which will be protected by fences from wild animals. Information boards will be placed in the area, and in time it will be possible to create a learning trail.
