Tesco sold 3.5 million chocolate eggs
Ten million eggs and 3.5 million chocolate eggs were sold in the Tesco before the Easter Holidays. Among the meat products the most popular were Hungarian products.
Beside ham, the Hungarian sausages were also very popular, which sales increased to its three fold before Easter. In addition, the lamb, pork and beef demand also increased. Tesco sold nearly 600 tonnes of theses products.
In addition the inevitable Easter eggs were also consumed in large quantities in the past few days: approximately 15 million real eggs, and 3.5 million chocolate eggs were consumed.
