Dm is 30 years old – investing in the future, customer satisfaction and employees
Dm Magyarország is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, and in the last financial year the company’s sales turnover went above HUF 208 billion, growing by 28.38% if compared with the previous year.
Sales by the online shop soared by an outstanding 56.93%. Dm is the market leader in value sales of face care products, and the leader among drugstores in the face care, intimate hygiene, toothbrush, nappy, and foot care categories. Thanks to the strategy of not raising prices for 4-month periods, customers profit from predictability in a changing economic environment.
Omnichannel, saving resources, and focus on women’s health
Dm’s online shop isn’t treated as a separate sales channel, but rather an extension of store shelves. The company’s active beauty loyalty programme currently has 1.9 million (+10%) members. To celebrate its 30th anniversary, dm has treated shoppers to 30X active beauty offers several times throughout the year.
The renewal of dm stores is ongoing, and 18 sites have already been decoupled from gas and district heating in the past year. Solar panels have been installed in 20 locations, and 70% of shops are now using LED technology.
Dm has dedicated a month-long campaign to women’s health and to mark the 30th anniversary, in September they launched a HUF 30 million grant programme for NGOs working for women’s health. (x)
