Hungarian Auchan celebrates its 27th birthday with a 27% price reduction
Auchan Hungary celebrates its 27th anniversary in May. On this occasion, they are surprising their customers with a four-week price reduction: hundreds of their products are being offered 27% cheaper during the holiday season. During May, every customer can also enter for a daily prize of 270,000 forints, which the winners will receive in the form of a gift card. For one day only, they are selling some products, including TVs and refrigerators, at the prices they had 27 years ago. During the birthday campaign, their new marketing and communication platform, created with the help of AI, will also be introduced.
The birds are also chirping that May will be the month of Auchan and its customers, on the occasion of the 27th anniversary of the Auchan department store chain’s presence in our country. During the month, they are preparing various promotions and prize games to celebrate the anniversary together with the customers. Each of the specials for this period will list on four pages the products that will be sold 27% cheaper in May, in reference to the anniversary. These will include selected products from almost every category. The other big holiday promotion is the daily prize draw, in which, regardless of the purchase amount, customers can enter the ring for a gift card loaded with 270,000 forints daily after registering with their Bizalom card and block. The winners will be drawn weekly, and the prize draw will last until May 31.
On a single day, May 27, several products will be sold at the price they were 27 years ago, including private-label TVs and refrigerators, as well as cleaning and hygiene products.

The large-scale birthday campaign is being communicated by the department store chain on all possible platforms, in its discount newspapers, hypermarkets and supermarkets, as well as in TV and radio advertisements. The new, customer-centric brand communication line is also being launched.
