In 2023, the minimum wage will be HUF 232,000
The agreement was reached at the Permanent Consultation Forum of the Competition Sector and the Government (VKF); As of January 1, 2023, the minimum wage will be 232,000 forints and the monthly gross amount of the guaranteed minimum wage will be 296,400 forints, the state secretary responsible for employment policy announced at a press conference in Budapest on Thursday.
Sándor Czomba added: all this means a 16 percent increase in the minimum wage and a 14 percent increase in the minimum wage for skilled workers. According to the Secretary of State, they have gone through very important and fruitful negotiations.
Answering MTI’s question, Sándor Czomba said that the agreement will be signed by both the employer and employee side of the VKF, including the Hungarian Trade Union Confederation.
