Magazine: Auchan: 2020 is the year of conscious shopping and sustainable operation
2019 was a busy year for Auchan, two of the biggest investments were building Tesla e-car charging stations and installing self-checkouts in stores – the latter are really practical and safe in the pandemic situation.
Dominique Ducoux, the CEO of Auchan Retail Magyarország said: sustainability forms part of the company’s corporate culture, so last year they added more Hungarian-made premium products to the assortment. Auchan is proud to work with more than 80 Hungarian farmers in the ‘From the farm to the table’ programme. By the end of May Auchan phased out single-use plastics. Auchan is dedicated to employing disabled people: for its 10-year efforts in this field, the company was rewarded with the Disabled-friendly Champion Award. //
