Aldi eliminates 2 million pieces of plastic from Easter range
Aldi has removed two million pieces (29 tons) of throwaway plastic from its seasonal confectionery range for Easter this year. Aldi gave some of its Easter eggs a square-shaped bottom, so they don’t have to be supported with inner plastic packaging – eliminating the need for plastic entirely. The discounter is making changes in its private label Easter eggs to turn them 100-percent plastic-free.
