Penny employees will receive a 10% wage increase and an employee discount
The main goal of PENNY Hungary is to adapt the compensation package of the employees to the economic situation and provide them with wages that ensure a stable living. Taking into account the Hungarian labor market situation – wages will increase by an average of 10% from April 1, 2024 – the company reported on Friday. The retail chain will spend nearly HUF 4 billion in 2024 to correct employee salaries. The average compensation of 10% is part of a complex benefits package.
As the most important element of the wage increase, basic wages will rise by an average of 10% this year. As a result of the preparatory work of the past years, a shopping discount will be provided to more than 5,000 employees of PENNY starting this year. The extra allowance can mean an additional income increase of up to 2-4% compared to the base salary of the colleagues who are employed in the largest number in the field of sales network and logistics.
