Majomkenyér celebrates 10th anniversary
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Majomkenyér brand: delicious sweets for people living with food sensitivity. Our magazine talked to Andrea Salgó-Agócs, founder and owner of Majomkenyér.
– When and why did you start the company and the Majomkenyér brand?

– It was three of us who founded the company in 2013. We all have some kind of food sensitivity, so we have created a product portfolio with sweets that cater for multiple sensitivities, have delicious taste, and contain no artificial preservatives, flavours or colours.
– What have been your biggest achievements so far?
– Our products have won the Great Taste and Free-from awards, we have been featured in the magazines Forbes and HVG, and both Hungarian and foreign consumers who tasted our products reported that they had never eaten such delicious free-from products. In Hungary we are present in most retail chains, in all drugstore chains and in a growing number of online shops.
– What products can shoppers currently find in Hungarian stores?
– Biscuits, bonbons, chocolate bars and Christmas candies, plus we have recently introduced a vegan, gluten-free biscuit crumb product. Soon we are going to enter a new products category, with a very special partnership and campaign.
– What are your plans for the future?
– We would like to launch savoury products alongside the sweet ones. Majomkenyér is also going in a functional direction, making sure that these products also meet sustainability requirements in terms of their nutritional content. Our goals include building a community for customers who buy Majomkenyér and MOKYEN (our international brand) products. (x)
