Your nominations for this year’s Gundel Prize winners are also pending until September 8
In memory of the work of restaurateur and gastronomy writer Károly Gundel, the Magyar Vendéglátók Iparstületü is announcing a call for participation in the selection of the awardee for the 10th time in 2023, with the cooperation of several partner organizations.
The award can be nominated for those who have been present in the field of Hungarian hospitality for at least 25 years with outstanding success, have an impeccable professional history and an exemplary life path, cherish the historical traditions of Hungarian hospitality and feel committed to its renewal, support the professional development of the younger generation, and contribute to the in promoting Hungarian hospitality.
The recognition can be given to the best in the hospitality industry, no more than three per year.
Anyone can make a proposal for the Károly Gundel Award. The condition for this is to fill out the data sheet that can be downloaded from the MVI website and return it to the organization’s address by midnight on September 8, 2023.
The Industry Board will announce the names of the awardees 1 day before Károly Gundel’s birthday (Sept. 23), i.e. on Friday, September 22, 2023 at 11 a.m., at a press conference held at the Hungarian Trade and Catering Industry Museum.
The award will be presented in a ceremonial setting, in October 2023, at the Gala Dinner of the MVI, details will be provided later.
