Offering solutions in packages
METRO Hungary was one of the most important participants at the Sirha 2018 trade show. We asked CEO Imre Horváth about their presence and plans.
– Both the retail and the hospitality segments are important for us, but these two sectors are developing at different speeds. At the moment the Horeca sector represents approximately 40 percent of our sales turnover. The progress made by Hungary’s hospitality sector and the development of Metro’s Horeca line indicate a good utilisation of synergies.
METRO Hungary’s role is to find or train those suppliers in Hungary and abroad who can continuously provide us with high quality products. We support these suppliers in every way possible, e.g.communication, entering foreign markets, quality assurance system.
This stand projects quality, reliability and expertise; feedback from our customers shows that they like our presence here at Sirha. We call this 9-island complex the 360-degree concept, where we present Metro’s full package of services. Half of our presence is about products and the other half is about services. Our visitors can learn about the Metro Max delivery system.
By using METRO’s own website design software, our experts can make a website for a bar or restaurant in just 10 minutes. So far 300 such websites were made during the Sirha trade fair, and in 2 months’ time there will be 2,000. We also offer a free table booking application to bar and restaurant owners. //
