KSH: Foreign trade surplus decreased to 8.2 billion euros in 2017
The Hungarian foreign trade closed last year with a surplus of 8.234 billion euros, which is 1.487 billion euros less than in the previous year, according to a first estimate of the Central Statistical Office (KSH) published on Friday.
In 2017, exports in euros increased by 8.4 percent, and imports increased by 11.1 percent, compared to 2016.
In December last year, exports and imports in euros were both 2.5 percent higher than in the previous year, while monthly export surplus increased by 12 million euros to 502 million euros.
The report added that in December last year, there were two fewer working days than a year before. (MTI)
