Hungary exported nearly 6,000 tons of chocolates in 2016-2017
Chocolate production in Hungary has shifted towards quality, more and more high-cocoa content products and handicraft products are being made – Fazekas Sándor Minister of Agriculture said on Friday in Szerencs at a press conference held before a farmer’s forum.
The minister explained that last year and in 2017 18,000 tons of chocolates were made in Hungary, almost one third of them were exported to foreign markets. Chocolate production is an increasingly serious player in the food industry, he added. (MTI)
