Nébih’s survey on Hungarian food waste begins
European consumers are at the forefront of food waste, throwing an average of 92 kg of food per person in the trash a year, Nébih wrote. Hungarian households proved to be more frugal than average, according to Nébih’s latest survey in 2019, which showed an average food waste production of 65 kg, half of which could have been avoided with a little attention. This is 4 percent less than the 2016 figure. (agrarszektor.hu)
