Soon, whiskey can be produced by using wind power
Brown-Forman, producer of Jack Daniel’s, has contracted an energy company in Kansas. The Solomon Forks wind farm will soon provide nearly all of the beverage manufacturer’s electricity demand from wind power.
About 30 megawatts of clean energy contract was signed by Brown-Forman, the producer of Jack Daniel’s, Canadian Mist and Chambord.
The company that produces distillates and wines has set a high sustainability target in 2012. This includes reducing greenhouse gas emissions to 15 percent by 2023. (origo)
