116 million tonnes of milk and dairy products are lost worldwide every year
Annually, 116 million tonnes of milk and dairy products, 16 percent of the produced goods, are lost in the world due to throwing it to the garbage, or due to inefficient storage and transportation processes – the experts at the University of Edinburgh revealed.
Peter Alexander co-worker of the University told that about 55 million tonnes of dairy products go sour before sold or lost in dairy farms, domestically or during transportation to markets overseas – The Guardian wrote. (MTI)
