Analysts: September inflation is lower than expected
The September consumer price index has become lower than the market expectations, but the increase in core inflation reflects the growing domestic demand, but mostly the growth of the excise tax on tobacco products and the regional and European price growth cycle for milk and milk products – analysts told MTI commenting on the Central Statistical Office’s report on September inflation issued on Tuesday.
According to a report issued on Tuesday by the Central Statistical Office (KSH), consumer prices in September were 2.5 percent higher than in the previous year, after the 2.6 percent growth of the previous month. Compared to august, prices increased by an average of 0.1 percent. (MTI)
