Up to 150-200 thousand workers may be missing from the domestic job market
The number of employees in Budapest grew by 134,000 in seven years – while the lack of skilled workers is also a serious problem in the capital.
The growing domestic shortage of labor is causing problems in the national economy. The National Association of Employers and Industrialists (MGYOSZ) sees the renewal of the Hungarian vocational training system as one of the most serious opportunities for long-term management of the challenge. The organization will organize a nationwide, all-inclusive event series this fall to hear and summarize the problems of the current vocational training system and to find common solutions involving stakeholders (employers, employees, municipal representatives, leaders of vocational training institutes).
