The Romanian turnover of Metro Cash & Carry decreased
The turnover of Romania's largest commercial chain, the Metro Cash & Carry dropped significantly in the first nine months of the year. The company realised 1 billion euros less revenue than a year earlier.
Between January and September, the company had 7.94 billion euros earnings, which is a 15 percent decrease compared to the same period of 2008. In addition, the sales trend showed a decreasing tendency. The largest decline occurred in the third quarter, with a decrease of more than 17 percent. Metro Cash & Carry, operates a network of 206 businesses in 13 countries, 24 businesses in Romania – reports portfolio.hu.
