Retail sales in the United States fell in March
Retail sales in the United States fell more than expected in March, according to a report by the Census Bureau of the Washington Department of Commerce.
In March, instead of the expected 8.0 percent decline, retail sales in the United States declined by 8.7 percent, compared to the previous month seasonally and calendar day adjusted.
In the previous month, February, retail sales fell 0.4 percent from January. The February figure was revised from a 0.5 percent decline to a 0.4 percent decline by the Census Bureau. (MTI)
