Finland’s Mö Foods has won the cheese innovation competition organised by Lidl and ProVeg, meaning that their oat-based feta alternative will be available in the German discount supermarket chain’s stores from mid-February.

Mö Foods proved to be the best from the 55 participants. The company uses oat milk developed for its own cheese production and patented technology to make dairy-free cheeses, which are similar in taste and texture to traditional dairy products.
