YuMi, the cooperating robot
Zoltán Paplógó, the director of ABB’s robotics business line told Trade magazin that in Hungary it is the automotive industry that shapes the development of robotics. The director is of the opinion that the food industry already profits from the advantages offered by robots. In 2015 there were 264,000 industrial robots operating all over the world. In Hungary there are 4,302 industrial robots and 49 percent of them are used in the automotive industry. ABB’s latest development is a robot called YuMi. It cooperates with humans to do precision work. Mr Paplógó also informed that every robot creates three new jobs.
