WWF: the Earth’s annual resources will run out by Thursday
This year, July 28 is World Overconsumption Day: according to data from the Global Footprint Network, the world’s population will use up a year’s worth of the planet’s resources by Thursday.
As the Hungarian organization of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) points out in its statement sent to MTI on Wednesday, World Overconsumption Day is coming sooner every year.
According to data from the Global Footprint Network, on July 28 this year, human consumption will exceed the level that the Earth can regenerate or absorb in a year. (MTI)
