The Aldi may open webshops
Discount supermarket Aldi is preparing to trial its first online grocery store in the UK, a German industry journal reported today, although the company played down the suggestion.
The opening of an online store in Britain would allow Aldi to grab a share of a growing market, with online grocery sales set to double by 2016 and already accounting for 5 percent of sales in the UK
The Pénzcentrum contacted Aldi Magyarország; the chain currently focuses on existing core activities and their developments. The company does not currently plan to introduce webshops in Hungary. (Orosz Márton, penzcentrum.hu)
