VM: more than half a million children can regularly eat fruit in schools

In the scope of the School Fruit Scheme, 538 thousand children receive at least two kinds of fruits at least two times a week – the Ministry of Rural Development (VM) said on Friday.

According to the informations of the ministry, the government increased its annual contribution from the 500 million HUF of 2012 to 1.2 billion HUF. In the scope of the School Fruit Scheme, more than 45 million fruits and fruit juices will be distributed in the schools.

In the 2013/2014-es school year not only in the primary school students, but the 5-6. grade students can also join to the program. (MTI)
