Ministry of Rural Development: tax increase on jam imitations
The parliament supported the tax increase on jam imitations. Because of the initiative of the Ministry of Rural Development (VM) in the future the tax on jams with low fruit content, syrups and concentrates (except for elder and lime juices) will be higher. The legislation enter into force on the first of January 2012.
Due to the proposal of the Ministry of Rural Development, the products, produced with at least 50 percent milk raw materials were excluded from the scope of the tax, such as túró rudi and cocoa drinks – reports MTI.
