Orange took back the lead from peach
Fruit juice sale are increasingly concentrated. The 401-2,500 m² channel improved its market share by 3 percentage points to 36 percent in October 2008-September 2009. In total, the market contracted by 7 percent in value (falling below HUF 44 billion) and by 10 percent in volume – less than 227 million litres of fruit juice was sold this year. Fruit drinks have the largest share with 65 percent in value; 100% fruit juices have a 25-percent share, while nectars represent 10 percent. Orange is the most popular flavour. Private labels had a 33 percent share in September.
