Kaufland tests selling groceries in returnable glass jars
German retailer Kaufland has rolled out food products in returnable glass jars, trying to strengthen efforts to cut plastic use and save resources. Kaufland is offering around 90 items, including muesli, rice, couscous, sugar, flour, porridge, gummy bears, nuts and dried fruits, in 10 stores in Germany.
