Spar has recalled the 250 gram S-BUDGET poppy seeds from circulation
Due to the content of unauthorized pesticides, Spar Hungary Trading Ltd. initiated the recall of 250-gram S-BUDGET edible poppy seeds from the market, the shelf life of the disputed product is February 4, 2026 – the National Trade and Consumer Protection Authority (NKFH) drew attention in a statement sent to MTI on Tuesday.
They emphasized that the company, in cooperation with the NKFH, took the necessary measures within its own jurisdiction, ensured the withdrawal of the disputed item from the market, and is also recalling it from consumers.
The authority is monitoring the measures taken by the company and the further fate of the recalled products – the statement indicated.
The NKFH asks anyone who has purchased the product affected by the recall not to consume it.
