A significant drop occured in foreign tourism in France
The number of foreign tourists decreased by seven percent in France since the beginning of the year due to the terrorist attacks, the bad weather and a series of strikes – Jean-Marc Ayrault, head of the foreign affairs and tourism ministry said on Tuesday.
According to the informations of the minister, the slowdown mainly affects Paris and its surroundings.
Jean-Marc Ayrault has indicated that at the beginning of September he once again calls the leaders of the tourism sector to a crisis meeting to discuss what kind of help the regions need that hit by the downturn the worst. (MTI)
