Visa: slowdown in consumer spendings growth in the EU
In the countries of the European Union, consumer spendings rose by an average 0.5 percent in the third quarter of this year, compared to the same period of the last year, following the 2.1 percent strong growth of the second quarter – told Visa Europe to MTI on Thursday.
According to the Communication; the rate of growth was the slowest since the fourth quarter of 2010.
EU's three largest economies – France, Germany and the United Kingdom – have suffered a relative decline in spendings in the second quarter, compared to a number of Central and Eastern European countries, where the strong growth continued – MTI.
