The Hungarian pork is virus-free
The Hungarian pork is safe for consumption in the animal health protection’s point of view, because the Hungarian pork plants has a closed production system – stated the Association of Hungarian pig holders.
The association calls on the Hungarian health authorities to initiate action in Brussels, to introduce an immediate ban on meat imports from all American and Central American territories. In addition, the human health services were asked to check more the incoming travelers to Hungary due to the flu. According to the communication: People carrying the virus with a greater risk than the pork. The virus can be destroyed, by the effect of cooking, baking, so the consumer cannot infected.
