French fries and virtual reality
From the end of May McDonald’s substitutes its usual red fry box with new designs, to emphasise the company’s role in sponsoring the football World Cup, starting in Brazil on 12 June. We can see the works of 12 famous street artists on the new boxes. They are also the key to ‘unlocking’ a new augmented reality app that will reward consumes with an exciting virtual trick-shot challenge, called McDonald’s Gol.
