VinCE Budapest 2012: Huge success for Hungary
VinCE Budapest 2012 promised to be a great wine event for professionals and amateur wine lovers alike. The primary focus of VinCE is wine (vin) in Central Europe (CE). Over 100 wineries from Hungary and the neighboring countries and winemakers from outside the region offered their wines for tasting during the three-day event.
Held in the Corinthia Grand Hotel Royal, VinCE Budapest will host wine exhibitions, wine tastings, master-classes, wine competitions and interactive workshops for professionals and the public. In addition to wine, pálinka were also featured, with the best distilleries presenting their products.
Németh Ágnes, the main organizer of the VinCE Budapest 2012 reported that eleven of the top Hungarian wines were compete with eleven matching items from abroad, on the professional day of the wine event on the 23rd of March. The wines will be judged by an international jury, including the legendary Steven Spurrier (British wine expert living in France), Josef Schuller (Austria), Frank Smulders (The Netherlands), Peter McCombie (United Kingdom), Tony Aspler (Canada), Taner Ögütoglu (Turkey), and Mészáros Gabriella and Romsics László (Hungary).
