METRO’s birthday flag around the world

METRO’s birthday flag began its journey around the world from METRO’S Düsseldorf-based center. The flag returns to the international 50th birthday party in October after visiting 28 different countries and tens of thousands of kilometers. Each country will sew a new piece, to the flag and at the end a joint festive artwork will created that will proudly bear the traditions of the METRO countries.

METRO’s birthday flag has arrived to Hungary, which travels to the representatives of the wholesale chain in 28 different countries. The flag visited several countries before arriving at the METRO Kereskedelmi Kft. including Belgium, China, Croatia and Greece.

The birthday creation will travel further to Denmark from Hungary but still has a great road ahead. At the end of the world trip, approximately the flag will travel 50,000 kilometers.
