Soccer legend takes centre stage in new Snickers advert

Brazilian legend Ronaldo has taken centre stage in a new Snickers advert poking fun at his nation’s rivalry with Argentina.

In the clip, which was launched shortly after Argentina were battered 6-1 by Spain in an international friendly on Tuesday, fans of the South American nation are seen celebrating a goal.

Ronaldo is then seen celebrating the same goal, much to the astonishment of his (presumably Brazilian) friends who quickly feed him some chocolate and relief his confusion.

Moment’s later – after realising the error of his ways – the Brazil hero, who represented both Barcelona and Real Madrid and club level, quickly sits back down and pretends like nothing ever happened…
