Roasted coffee leading, instant 3in1 growing
According to the Nielsen Retail Index, the consumer price of roasted coffee was up by 10 per cent in April-May this year, compared to the same period in 2007, while the price of the instant 3in1 segment showed stagnation. Retail sales of coffee were down by 1 per cent in terms of quantity. With expansion of 8 per cent in terms of value, the size of the total market has exceeded HUF 46 billion this year. The market share of roasted coffee has dropped by 3 per cent in terms of quantity, while that of 3in1 has risen by 3 per cent. The market share of private labels remains 12 per cent.
