Hungarian milk domestic sales declining
The Hungarian dairy business mood reduces and the domestic sales also declining – states the most recent summary of the Milk Marketing Board, which was published on the occasion of the International Day of Milk.
According to the analysis of Wednesday; this year's EU milk quota occupancy rate of the Hungarian milk quota is expected to be 76 percent, compared to the 84.5 percent of 2008/09. The average purchasie price of milk reached 95 HUF in January 2008. But the market trend reversed, so today the average purchase price of milk is around 67.50 to 68.00 HUF per kg. This is about 30 percent lower than at the beginning of 2008 – reports MTI.
