Imported melons can cause losses to the producers
The below market price sales of the lower quality Greek watermelon poses a threat to the Hungarian producers – the pesticide and seed distributor Syngenta Magyarország told to MTI on Thursday.
The company's release quotes Csige László the company’s expert who said that the 30 percent less than the production area in northern Italy and the cool spring weather in Greece caused qualitative and quantitative problems. Nevertheless, the sale of watermelon on dumped import price may cause difficulties to the Hungarian farmers. (MTI)
