The meat industry faces deficit this year
Meat processors face serious difficulties between the producers and the dealers. In order to reduce their losses they export their products, in March they are expected to increase their prices.
According to Kovács László Chief Executive Officer of Pick Szeged Zrt.; the entire meat industry will close a lossmaking year, because of the raw material price increases and the decrease in demand. In addition in Hungary 8-10 percent less meat and meat products were consumed, and foreign sales also decreased – reports szabadfold.hu
